KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
|
- Project managed key integration projects over a tight 9-week schedule for the Pinsent Masons merger. This included rebranding (plus new templates and styling toolbar), a single DMS (Interwoven) and extranet / intranet sites.
- Managed the in-house development of Cripps Harries Hall's intranet “Purple Pages” which provided access to practice management information, fee earner time graphs, conflict checking, money laundering and other controls relating to Lexcel accreditation. Winner of Legal IT 2002 award for Best Use of IT (for a small-medium law firm).
- “Working Smarter” initiative carried out in 2001 to establish from the users exactly how they felt about IT, gathering ideas on how we could all work more effectively with the existing applications but also improving business procedures. This not only enabled IT to deliver real benefits to the firm, it assisted in the setting of a realistic 2002/3 budget as well as a substantial reduction to that years expenditure.
- Managed the international implementation of LovellsNet.com, the firms first extranet, working closely with fee earners and clients. This new service brought about many business process changes as well as improving our client service. With the success of the first phase Lovells then progressed to develop this concept to Phase 2, which is now widely known as Mexican Wave.
- Working in a multi-disciplinary environment with Professional Support Lawyers, fee earners, support staff and the software supplier, I managed the successful implementation of a £1/4 million browser based Know How system for Lovells, which subsequently won "Best Use of IT" in The Lawyer, HIFAL awards in 1998.
- Implementation of a standard Litigation Support system and approach within the firm encompassing the use of a common system called JFS Litigator's Notebook (used during the discovery process by fee earners, full text searching and image storage) and complimentary procedures for the fee earners and technology. The firm invested £1/4 million implementing the environment that involved agreeing competitive contracts with 3rd party suppliers.
- Implemented a fully integrated manufacturing system into five large UK sites, achieving efficient shop floor control using MRPII technology. In parallel I also managed and actively participated in the implementation of a fully integrated Cost Accounting system within business requested time and budget of £1million that had a pay back period of 1-2 years
